Sion Sono's LOVE EXPOSURE Coming To Toronto August 21st!
Do. Not. Miss. This.

The Canada Japan Society and the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre are proud to present the Toronto premiere of one of the most acclaimed and controversial Japanese films of the last decade; Sion Sono's 2008 four hour magnum opus, LOVE EXPOSURE.

"Almost impossible to imagine a four-hour long film featuring castration, transvestism, religious cults and Catholic guilt complexes could be so darn passionate, so uplifting, so edge-of-the-seat entertaining.  A one-off, indescribable experience" Jasper Sharp, Sight and Sound Magazine.

Director Sion Sono is a controversial filmmaker and poet. He gained international notoriety for such films as Suicide Circle, Noriko's Dinner Table and Strange Circus.  Love Exposure has won awards around the world, including the Caligari Film Award and FIPRESCI Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival.

As part of their mandates to bring a better understanding of Canadian and Japanese cultures together, both the Canada Japan Society and the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre offer regular showings of Japanese films throughout the year.  This is their first official collaboration with a movie showing which will result in a truly memorable event.
