The US Gets A Red Band Trailer For [REC]2!
[Whoopsie. Embed wasn't working when this was originally posted. It's fixed now.]

Coming at the forefront of the current wave of first-person perspective horror co Plaza and Jaume Balaguero's original [REC] - in which a zombie outbreak guts a Spanish apartment block - became a massive international sensation. It's arrival on US shores was delayed some by the production of US remake Quarantine - the remake producers didn't want anyone seeing the original before their film released - but even on this continent the reputation has grown.

Balaguero and Plaza would reunite to make a sequel together and now the pair are working separately on a pair of related titles - a prequel and another sequel - to wrap up the saga but before those arrive US audiences will get the chance to see their [REC]2 on the big screen. Magnet's got it and are releasing it on VOD June 4th before a July 9th theatrical run and they've just cut new Red Band trailer to demonstrate why this one should not be missed.

The highly anticipated sequel to one of the scariest films of all time, [REC] 2 picks up 15 minutes from where we left off, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts. A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science--a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined.  Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.

Loved this film. Watched it for the second time last night. This trailer looks good, but it reveals some of those best surprises of the film. If you liked the first one, and you have the chance to see this one in a theater, go for it. It's a hell of a thrill ride.

I hated this movie. The acting is horrible, the story sucks ass, and they completely destroyed the Zombies. This is what happens when you give to much money to a director.

They were never Zombies (sic). Did you not watch the first film? Or the second one for that matter
