Absolutely violent and shocking trailer of CHUZHAYA (STRANGER)
It's useless to search her, because she doesn't have anything. She is a bitch. She is Stranger.

That's briefly what teaser says about her with heavy criminal slang that I don't even know how to translate. In the teaser the man also calls her Oyster, I don't know what it means in criminal slang. I also don't know how to translate the title, because Чужая means Female Stranger as well as Female Alien, Female Foreigner, etc.. So I chose Stranger.

Producer of Chuzhaya (Stranger) is Konstantin Ernst, the most influential media producer in Russia. He was behind of such well-known titles as Night Watch, Day Watch, Turkish Gambit, Admiral, Hipsters (Stilyagi), Irony of Fate 2 with its record box-office, and several notable, popular and sometimes controversial TV-shows and series. He is a king of Russian TV. His movies hit the record of Russian box-office several times. So his name in the trailer promises decent show.

The second producer is Igor Tolstunov, who produced such controversial movies as Everybody Dies But Me (imdb 1227189) and recent tv-series School, that caused such a huge wave of public discussion that even Medvedev and then Putin commented it.

The synopsis:
1990s. Gangster Kiev. Gang of four fighters gets the job to deliver the girl with nickname Stranger from Prague. She is a sister of arrested Babay, whose testimony can harm important people.

It seems like Stranger has everything: violence, criminals, shooting, Gypsies, prositutes, boobs, sex... everything that fans of this genre can dream about. The movie opens in Russian theaters on June 17th, 2010.

A warning from the trailer. Underage people and people with unstable state of mind should avoid it.

There is nothing less shocking in cinema these days than seeing a bunch of people get shot at point blank range. Snoooze.

Bland. The violence wasn't shocking and the trailer didn't even remotely crescendo with no atmosphere. Nothing to see here.

Stilyagi (Hipsters) wasn't produced by Konstantin Ernst.

You missed one important thing about the movie: Chuzhaya (Чужая) is based on the book of Vladimir "Adolfych" Nesterenko - a former member of a organised criminal gang in Ukraine in 90-s. Now he's a writer and popular blogger; he was also a consultant of adaption to Russian prison slang of Jacques Audiard's Un Prophete when the movie was released in Russia.

Stilyagi wasn't produced by K. Ernst, but he was involved in promo campaign, he also participated in editing the movie, and also made himself trailer for it.

Hm, yeah I'm with the above posters - nothing really shocking here. Just looks like a slightly above average bang-bang shoot 'em up movie.
