NABOER Director Pal Sletaune Finally Returns To The Director's Chair With BABYCALL
It has been a long time since Norway's Pal Sletaune last directed a film, his most recent effort being 2005's stellar psychological thriller Naboer (Next Door). That film is a great favorite of mine and I've been waiting to see what the man would do next ever since and while his production company has backed a good number of very good films, Sletaune himself has been absent and very much missed.

But I started hearing rumblings at the European Film Market that this was about to change and, sure enough, word is now out that Sletaune has launched production on a new psychological thriller titled Babycall.

An over-protective mother moves to a secret address with her eight-year-old son after a difficult divorce. She buys a babycall to better watch over him, which seems to be activated from other apartments in the block. One day she overhears what she thinks is the murder of a child.
Noomi Rapace - now a big international star thanks to the Millennium films - stars.
