Sundance 2010: Trailer For Spike Jonze' Robot Short I'M HERE Is Typically Fantastic Stuff.
Ah, Spike. How we love thee ...

After going through the wringer to complete his Where The Wild Things Are director Spike Jonze needed a break.  A return to what he describes as a smaller and more personal way of doing things.  And so he convinced Absolut Vodka to pony up some cash, assembled a small crew and shot half hour long short film I'm Here over the space of about a week.

About to premiere at Sundance, I actually went looking for a trailer for this one yesterday and it wasn't there.  But it is now.  Here's how the fest describes it:

A male robot librarian lives a solitary and methodical life -- devoid of creativity, joy and passion - until he meets an adventurous and free spirited female robot.
Simple, straightforward, heartfelt, and - if the trailer is any indication - flawlessly executed.  I love how much emotion he manages to convey through the robot faces ... Check the trailer below!
