Ah, Spike. How we love thee ...

After going through the wringer to complete his Where The Wild Things Are director Spike Jonze needed a break.  A return to what he describes as a smaller and more personal way of doing things.  And so he convinced Absolut Vodka to pony up some cash, assembled a small crew and shot half hour long short film I'm Here over the space of about a week. 

About to premiere at Sundance, I actually went looking for a trailer for this one yesterday and it wasn't there.  But it is now.  Here's how the fest describes it:

A male robot librarian lives a solitary and methodical life -- devoid of creativity, joy and passion - until he meets an adventurous and free spirited female robot.
Simple, straightforward, heartfelt, and - if the trailer is any indication - flawlessly executed.  I love how much emotion he manages to convey through the robot faces ... Check the trailer below!
