What's the matter kiddies? Were you too young back in 1981 to catch EVIL DEAD on actual screen? Or were you stuck in a town that never even gave the upstart indy horror classic a chance? Well it's time to rejoice with a resounding "Oh hell yes!" because those crazy mofos over at Grindhouse Releasing are putting Sam Raimi's benchmark film debut EVIL DEAD back on screens through the first quarter of 2010 in glorious 35mm.

For now the confirmed dates and cities are as follows -

 January 8-9: Uptown Theatre, Minneapolis

 January 15-16: Esquire Theatre, Denver

 January 29-30: Sunshine Cinema, New York

 February 5-6: Egyptian Theatre, Seattle

 February 19-20: River Oaks Theatre, Houston

 February 26-27: Inwood, Dallas

 March 5: Nuart Theatre, Los Angeles 

There WILL be more dates announced, so if you don't see your city on the above list there is still hope. And if you want to be pro-active you can contact David Szulkin at info@grindehousereleasing.com and petition your local theater to get on board.
