The UK Gets 해운대 (Haeundae) on DVD, But...
I remember reading interviews with director Yoon Je-Gyun, where he mentions that he decided to go for Haeundae even for the International market, simply because he wanted to put the spotlight on the local flavour of the film, which in a way makes sense. What's next, blessing 차우 (Chaw) with a much less exotic and Transformers generation-friendly sounding Flesh Eating Boars?
DVD comes courtesy of Optimum Releasing, and will be out today, even before the Korean release (probably delayed because of theater runs in China/North America and various festivals). Best kind of early Christmas gift for people you don't really care about, but still want to bless with mindless crap and act as if you spent your precious time looking for the right item. Because it's the thought that counts...
