Full Trailer Arrives For Shunji Iwai Scripted BANDAGE
If it seems like we've been writing about this one forever, well, that's pretty much because we have.  Originally announced way back in 2005, Bandage was initially meant to have been a collaboration between writer-producer Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou) and director Ryhuei Kitamura (Versus). Schedules, unfortunately, refused to align and both moved on to other projects including an animated piece that they did together.  But IWai wouldn't let the project die and eventually he brought on director Takeshi Kobayashi to take the reins.

The story of a young band caught up in the explosion of indie acts in late 90s Japan, Bandage is - as you'd expect from Iwai - very much a coming of age story with its young protagonists forced to confront the business of their art, the pressures it puts on them as individuals and learn to grow up and make adult decisions.  Iwai projects never really trailerize well because they're all about development, not moments, but the first full trailer for this one has just arrived on the official site and via Nippon Cinema.
