Here's a synopsis for The Witches Hammer from the website of production company Amber Pictures: "Rebecca is brought back from the brink of death by top secret agency 'Project 571'. She is trained as a lethal assassin and sent on missions to kill that which she has become, a vampire. ¶ When Project 571 is destroyed by a gang of vampires, Rebecca is thrown into a quest for an ancient book powerful enough to raise the dead. Rebecca joins two priests on a journey to kill the master vampire Hugo Renoir before he can unleash the grotesque souls of the damned into our dimension. If Hugo is allowed to perform the ancient ceremony the earth shall forever pass into the realm of darkness. ¶ Along the way Rebecca must utilise her training to face Vampires, Demons and Witches all vying for the book and its awesome power."

Here's a description of Bane - which is in pre-production - from Amber Pictures' website: "Four women wake up imprisoned in an isolated manor house in the midst of a strange experiment. ¶ With complete amnesia the women try to piece together their memories to find out why they came to be there. To retrieve their lost memories each woman must delve into her darkest nightmares. ¶ Four women, four total strangers. Each with a secret fear that will come to visit. ¶ What nightmares would you face to find out who you are...?"

I don't know why I keep watching these trailers...

That 2 and a half minute clip was worse than the entirety of BloodRayne.

This from a guy who thinks Van Damme is great actor? I for one loved Witches Hammer at Canne this year. It does exactly what it says on the tin. It may be low budget with some weak performances but it was certainly entertaining. How many big budget movies with weak performances have made us want eat our own eyeballs - Van Helsing anyone?
