The complete website isn't up yet but the good folk at the Philadelphia Film Festival have just uploaded the entire program book in PDF format and it looks fantastic. A first scan turns up a LOT of films we've talked about here ... The District, the Danielson Movie, Piano Tuner of Earthquakes, Wassup Rockers, Hard Candy, Welcome to Dongmakgol, Texture of Skin, The Proposition, Noriko's Dinner Table, Next Door, Low Profile, Vinterkyss, Joni's Promise, It's Only Talk ... and that's not even including the stellar Danger After Dark lineup we listed a while back.

So many great films, so why the pain? Midnight My Love, The Hanging Garden, Meatball Machine, The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai, Reincarnation and Strange Circus all screen before I'll be arriving on the sixth. It's like they want to torment me. Argh!

I looked through some but my pc is garbage so hopefully they will have printed versions tonight in the activity. It should be a good one.

STRANGE CIRCUS is already out on DVD in Japan. I should get my copy any day now.

Kid's fifth birthday on the first, man ... I don't think he'd forgive me if I ditched his birthday for a movie ...

I can't think of a better present for a child's fifth birthday than a screening of MEATBALL MACHINE, can you, Todd? If it'll help, I'll introduce the film dressed as a clown and hand out cake?

Any chance we could get a list of all/some of the guests/directors that will be attending?

Todd BrownMarch 11, 2006 12:07 AM

Heh. He'd probably totally dig it Travis, but my ex would KILL me ...

I'm down for some cake. Bring the kid along I'm sure it won't have a too lasting mental effect. Travis we've never met although I'm sure you've seen me as I'm hard to miss, we even practically walked into the alliance on wednesday at the same time. I just wanted to say that you guys always do such an excellent job with the festival. Its something really amazing. Especially considering is Philly. And is something I look forward to every year. Its like x-mas. Anything that's a must this year?
