The official website for Shûsuke Kaneko's live-action horror movie God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand (Kami no hidarite akuma no migite) has just gone online.

The screenplay for God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand (Kami no hidarite akuma no migite) was written by Yoshinori Matsugae, based on the eponymous manga Kami no hidarite akuma no migite by Kazuo Umezu (other manga of whose the Kazuo Umezu's Horror Theater (Umezu Kazuo: kyôfu gekijô) hexalogy was based on). The movie's principal cast is as follows: Asuka Shibuya, Tsubasa Kobayashi, Ai Maeda, Momoko Shimizu, Saaya (on the left), Reon Kadena, Daikichi Sugawara, Natsuko Yamamoto, Toshie Negishi, Yoneko Matsukane, Toshiyuki Watarai, Haruna Imai, Tarô Nogi, Nana Shirasaka, Norie Watanabe, Aoi Hirosawa, Mai Nakajima, Sae Shimizu, Hana Serizawa, Aiko Umeda, Shun Nishiura, Hiroko Toda, Mayu Sakuma, Mika Kamiya, Momoka Fujie, Tomoyuki Washizu, Akira Saitô, Kunihiko Mikami, Keisuke Nomura, Hiroaki Kawatsure, (Kazuo) Umezu, Shigemitsu Ogi, and Tomorowo Taguchi.

Toshiba Entertainment K.K. (Tôshiba Entateinmento K.K.) plans to release God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand theatrically in Japan next summer.

Here's a brief description of God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand from the Fangoria article "Shusuke Kaneko does splatter with LEFT HAND": "Based on one of the most graphic horror publications in the annals of Japanese manga, the film is poised to be the antithesis of the atmospheric eeriness that has come to define J-horror around the world. The movie stars Asuka Shibuya as high school student Izumi Yamabe, who with younger brother Sou (Tsubasa Kobayashi) must tangle with their deranged father (Tomorowo Taguchi of TETSUYA fame).... Handling the plethora of decapitations, blood-spewing limbs and other gross-out FX is Kakusei Fujiwara [Japanese Movie Database entry], an up-and-coming FX artist.... Shooting is expected to wrap at the end of [September]."
